LiFePO4 Battery FAQ | MOQ, Shipping, Certifications & OEM | LIFEPWR

Ordering & MOQ

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
For standard configurations, our MOQ is 10 units for wholesale pricing. We also accept 1-unit sample orders for pre-qualification testing — the sample cost is credited back to your account on your first bulk order of 10+ units.

For OEM/ODM custom configurations (private label casing, custom firmware, branded apps), MOQ is typically 20–50 units depending on the customization scope.
Can I order a sample before committing to a bulk order?
Yes. We strongly encourage it. A single-unit sample lets you verify capacity, BMS behavior, communication protocol compatibility (CAN/RS485/RS232), and physical dimensions before placing a larger order. Sample orders ship within 5–7 working days via express courier (DHL/FedEx/UPS).
What is the production lead time after order confirmation?
Order TypeLead Time
Standard configuration (in stock)3–7 working days
Standard configuration (production run)15–30 working days
OEM / Custom configuration30–45 working days
Lead time is confirmed in writing on your Proforma Invoice (PI) and depends on order volume and current factory schedule.
Do you provide a Proforma Invoice (PI) and product photos before payment?
Yes. Every order receives a formal PI with itemized pricing, HS code, packaging details, and bank information. Before shipment, we provide real-time photos and/or video of your goods on the production line and at final QC inspection.

Shipping & Logistics

What shipping terms (Incoterms) do you support?
We support EXW, FOB (Shenzhen/Ningbo), CFR, and CIF. For LCL or pallet-level shipments to the EU/UK, we can also arrange DAP delivery through our freight partners. Tell us your destination port or warehouse address and we’ll quote the most cost-effective option.
Can these batteries be shipped by air freight?
Yes. All cells are UN38.3 certified, which is the mandatory safety certification for lithium battery air transport (IATA DGR Class 9). Sample units (1–2 pieces) are commonly shipped via air. For bulk orders, sea freight (FCL/LCL) is recommended for cost efficiency given the ~120kg unit weight.
How are the batteries packaged for international shipping?
Each unit is packed in a reinforced export carton with foam corner protection, palletized, and shrink-wrapped (package size 880×625×427mm, ~137.5kg gross). Pallets are stackable and sized to optimize 20’/40′ container loading. Custom packaging/labeling (private label cartons) is available for OEM orders.
Do you handle customs documentation and Dangerous Goods (DG) paperwork?
Yes. We provide a complete export document package: commercial invoice, packing list, UN38.3 test summary, MSDS, certificate of origin, and DG declaration (for air/sea as applicable). Our logistics team coordinates directly with your forwarder to avoid customs delays.

Certifications & Compliance

Which certifications do your LiFePO4 batteries hold?
LevelCertifications
Battery PackCE, MSDS/SDS, UN38.3
Battery CellCE, IEC 62619, UL 1973, RoHS
System StandardUL 62133-2, CSA C22.2 #62133-2, UL 2054
All certificates are current and copies are provided with every shipment. Original certificate PDFs (for tender/bidding submissions) are available on request.
Are these batteries compliant with the EU Battery Regulation?
Our cells use cobalt-free LiFePO4 chemistry, which aligns with the direction of the EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542) on hazardous substance restrictions. We can support carbon footprint declarations and due diligence documentation as required — contact our compliance team for the latest documentation status.
Can you provide third-party lab test reports (SGS, TÜV, etc.)?
Yes. UN38.3, IEC 62619, and UL test reports are issued by accredited third-party labs. We can provide redacted copies for general reference, or full reports under NDA for tender submissions and importer registration purposes.

Technical Questions

Which inverter brands are compatible with the CAN/RS485 protocol?
The battery’s BMS communicates natively via CAN bus (500kbps) or RS485/RS232. Verified compatibility includes Deye, Solis, Goodwe, Growatt, Sofar, SMA, Victron, Fronius, Solax, Huawei, and Fox ESS. If your target inverter brand isn’t listed, send us the model number and we’ll confirm the protocol mapping or provide a custom CAN configuration.
How many units can be connected in parallel, and how does the BMS coordinate them?
Up to 15 units can be connected in parallel (max 230.4kWh). One unit is designated as the “master” via an address-selection switch and communicates the aggregated SOC/SOH/alarm status to the inverter — no external controller is required.
Can the battery operate in cold climates (below 0°C)?
Discharging is rated down to -20°C. However, like all LiFePO4 cells, charging below 0°C is not recommended without the optional Self-Heating Kit, which automatically warms the cells to a safe charging temperature (0–55°C) before allowing charge current. We recommend this option for installations in Northern Europe, Canada, and the Northern US.
What is the difference between “nominal” and “usable” capacity?
Nominal capacity (15.36kWh) is the total stored energy. Usable capacity is what can be discharged before the BMS cuts off to protect cell health — at 90% DOD, usable energy is approximately 13.8kWh. We recommend sizing system designs around the usable figure.
Do you offer remote monitoring or a white-label monitoring app?
Yes. The optional Bluetooth telemetry module pairs with our iOS/Android app for live SOC, SOH, voltage/current, and alarm history. For OEM/ODM partners ordering 50+ units, a white-label version of the app (your branding, your app store listing) can be arranged.

OEM / ODM Partnerships

Can I sell this product under my own brand?
Yes — full OEM/ODM service is available, including:
  • Custom enclosure laser-etching or silk-screen branding
  • Custom firmware splash screen / LCD branding
  • White-label packaging, cartons, and user manuals
  • White-label monitoring app (iOS/Android)
Minimum order quantities and lead times vary by customization depth — see “Ordering & MOQ” above.
Can you customize the BMS parameters or communication protocol?
Within safe operating limits, yes — charge/discharge cut-off voltages, CAN protocol mapping for specific inverter brands, and balancing thresholds can be adjusted at the firmware level for qualifying order volumes. Our engineering team will review your requirements before confirming feasibility.
Do you provide marketing assets (datasheets, renders, manuals) for resellers?
Yes. Distributors receive editable datasheet templates, product photography, 3D renders, and installation manuals in English (other languages on request) to support local marketing and tender submissions.

Warranty & After-Sales Support

What warranty is provided, and what does it cover?
Each battery pack carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty covering manufacturing defects, BMS failure, and capacity degradation beyond rated specifications (subject to normal use within rated temperature/current limits). The cells themselves are designed for a 10-year service life / 6,000 cycles @ 80% DOD.
What happens if a unit arrives damaged or defective?
Report any transport damage or DOA (dead-on-arrival) units within 7 days of receipt with photos/video and the unit serial number. After verification, we will ship a replacement unit or component, or issue a credit note — whichever is more practical for your shipping route.
Do you offer technical support in my time zone?
Our pre-sales and after-sales engineering team responds within 24 hours on business days via email, and we offer scheduled video calls to accommodate European and North American time zones. Installation manuals and CAN protocol configuration guides are also available in our Download Center.
Are spare parts (BMS boards, terminals, casings) available separately?
Yes. We stock common spare parts including BMS boards, busbars, terminal connectors, and casing components for distributors who maintain local service inventory — recommended for orders of 20+ units.

Payment & Pricing

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept T/T (bank wire transfer), L/C at sight for larger orders, and PayPal for sample orders. Standard terms are 30% deposit / 70% before shipment for bulk orders, negotiable for repeat customers.
Is pricing different based on order volume?
Yes. Pricing is tiered: sample (1 unit), wholesale (10–49 units), and volume (50+ units) tiers each have progressively better unit pricing. Submit your target quantity and destination country in the quote form for an accurate FOB/CIF quote.
Do you provide an annual or framework pricing agreement for distributors?
Yes. For distributors committing to quarterly or annual purchase volumes, we offer fixed-price agreements that protect against raw material (lithium carbonate) price fluctuations for the agreed period — contact our sales team to discuss terms.
