Model: FT-256300

A 256 V high-voltage storage cluster: one base, five 51.2 V battery modules in series and a high-voltage box carrying the BCU, breaker, pre-charge circuit and a 4.3-inch touchscreen. 76.8 kWh nominal at 100 A continuous in either direction, with isolated CAN 2.0 and RS485 to the PCS. Up to five clusters run in parallel, so the same hardware covers a single home installation and a several-hundred-kilowatt-hour commercial site.

Buyer decision points

What project teams should confirm before ordering

This page is structured around technical review, procurement qualification and project conversion rather than retail pricing.

  1. 01

Confirm the PCS and its battery protocol

The cluster talks to the PCS over isolated CAN 2.0 or RS485 on RJ45. Send the exact PCS brand, model and protocol document so the pairing can be reviewed and bench tested before sample approval.

  2. 02

High voltage means qualified installation only

A 256 V DC cluster at 630 kg is not a plug-in appliance. Installation, commissioning and any parameter change must be done by qualified engineers, with the breaker open while power cabling is connected.

    Recommended · continuous maximum ≤ 100 A

  3. 03

    Cluster parallel design

Clusters are paralleled through Parallel In and Parallel Out with a 120 Ω terminating resistor at each end of the chain. Voltage difference between clusters must be within 5 V before they are combined, and P+ / P- go to a shared busbar.

Up to 5 clusters in parallel

  4. 04

    Charge window and cold climates

Charging is specified from 0 °C. Discharge runs to -20 °C, but the two are not interchangeable — charging LiFePO4 below freezing causes permanent capacity loss. Confirm the site's winter minimum before you specify.

    Protection rating:

  5. 05

    Siting, clearance and floor loading

Allow at least 300 mm from the wall for air circulation, on a level load-bearing floor. Level the four castors so the base cannot move, and keep the cluster away from water, steam, heat sources and children.

  6. 06

    Documentation scope

Confirm which pack-level, cluster-level and system-level certificates apply to the exact production configuration and target market before publishing or purchasing.

Application fit

Where this cluster is specified

Specified by integrators and EPC contractors for sites where the energy requirement is large but the floor area is not.

01

Peak shaving and valley filling

The primary design case: charge on off-peak tariff, discharge into the peak window, with the PCS scheduling against the site's own load profile.

02

Power quality and temporary supply

Supports voltage stability and short-notice temporary supply on sites where the grid connection is weak or being reworked.

03

Community, hospital and government sites

The vertical cluster format is specified where floor area is constrained but the energy requirement is large.

04

Scaling to commercial capacity

Five clusters in parallel reach 384 kWh nominal on the same modules, protocol and spare parts as a single-cluster install.

Supplier verification

Factory, quality control and export documentation

A B2B product page should help procurement teams verify who will build, test and support the system. Safecloud Energy Inc. was founded in 2007 and operates two plants in Henan and Anhui totalling 48,000 m², with eight automated production lines, 30+ aging machines and an in-house testing laboratory.

Buyer questions

Technical and purchasing FAQ

Is a PCS or inverter included?

No. This is a high-voltage battery cluster, not an all-in-one. It connects to a third-party PCS or hybrid inverter over CAN 2.0 or RS485. Send the exact PCS model and protocol document and we will review compatibility before sample approval.

How many clusters can run in parallel?

The manual specifies up to five clusters. Clusters are chained Parallel Out to Parallel In with a 120 Ω / 2 W terminating resistor at each end, and the voltage difference between clusters must be within 5 V before they are combined. Confirm the figure for your project during quotation.

What is the usable energy?

Nominal energy is 76.8 kWh. The documentation states an initial usable figure of 71.5 kWh and a maximum depth of discharge of 90 %. Ask us to confirm the usable energy for your operating window in writing before you size a project against it.

Can it be installed outdoors?

No ingress protection rating is published for this cluster, and it is cooled by natural convection. Treat it as an indoor unit in a protected plant room until an IP rating is confirmed in writing. This model is rated .

How is it earthed?

Every battery module, the high-voltage box and the base bond together with the supplied earth leads, and the cluster requires at least one reliable connection to the site earth bar.

What information is required for an OEM quotation?

Quantity, target market, PCS brand and model, number of clusters, site temperature range, certification scope, branding requirements and target delivery time. For this model: 5 years / 6,000 cycles, to 70 % capacity retention.
